ABOUT
A Blessingway(or Mother Blessing) is a sacred pre-birth ceremony that celebrates a woman’s rite of passage into motherhood. During a Blessingway, a group of her closest friends/female family members will come together and honor her pregnancy and journey into motherhood. They will offer words of wisdom around preparing for birth and postpartum and often include a small ceremony to mark the occasion. In Native American tradition (Dine Navajo), a Blessingway provided space to come together as a support circle for the expecting mother and bless the way ahead for her. It is a web woven of the most trusted and cherished women in her life. I truly believe that when a woman is properly supported, cared for and empowered - it creates a positive impact on her birth and postpartum motherhood journey.

I specialize in a faith-based Mother Blessing planning in Orange County & San Diego. The ceremony can be customized to the family’s spiritual, religious and cultural traditions and will be discussed in our discovery call.
Using non-toxic body crayons vs. henna, drying time is not required and is more friendly for everyone to participate, even children.
A typical blessing flows well with 5 to 10 close people in your life and lasts between 90 minutes to 2 hours, which includes beverages and snacks. It is best to be held 3 to 4 weeks out from your estimated due date.
This experience can be hosted in your home or a friend’s home. Public spaces like parks and beaches are fine, but you don’t want too many distractions or loud noises.
A Mother Blessing is considered to be separate from your Baby Shower. It’s less about gifts for baby and more about supporting and preparing mom- something I’m so passionate about!

The standard package is ideal if you have a friend or family who is great at hosting events, leading activities and keeping things flowing- someone who can do well with a timeline and instructions- especially if someone attending or mom herself has been part of a blessingway before. It's also budget friendly as the e-vite graphic & genaral supplies are included.

This package is perfect if you need someone to lead the flow who isn't a friend or family member. I help to keep things moving organically during the handful of activities that will take place. This package is also helpful if none of your guests have been part of a Blessingway. I also bring extra supplies like floor cushions, and a centerpiece for the ceremony. The biggest draw to this package will be photos. I use no flash and a silent shutter so it's not obvious that I am capturing everything. I also make sure to get high quality individual pictures at the end of you with each guest. Not having phones out is ideal for this ceremony, so having a facilitator who is photographing can be helpful.
